DLA celebrated its Silver Jubilee in 1997; the IJDL, in 1996. The ISDL Silver Jubilee was celebrated in AD 2002

The proceedings of the first three Conferences were published by ISDL. The more important learned papers, presented at the subsequent Conferences have been incorporated in the issues of IJDL

The 28th Annual DLA Conference was held from 22nd to 24th, June 2000 at Idayankudi, Tirunelveli District, where Bishop Caldwell lived and worked for 44 years, during which time, he wrote the classic work, "Comparative Grammar of Dravidian Languages", pioneering studies in this discipline. Participants could appreciate the hardships that he must have undergone, living in a small hot dry village, where even now, the facilities of luxurious urban living are not available. The people, though poor, could appreciate the cultural greatness of scholarship, and did all they could to make the Conference a success, and the delegates were given a warm welcome.

The 30th  Conference was held at Dharwad, Karnataka, where Rev. Kittel was honoured and the Kittel College was gifted with all publications of the DLA/ISDL
